Reasons for opening a bank account in Singapore

Different bank have different requirements for account opening, normally required:
- Original copy of all incorporation document of the company, e.g. Certificate of Incorporation, Business Registration Certificate, Memorandum and Articles of Association (for newly incorporated company)
- Address proof, e.g. telephone bill, electricity bill or personal bank statement, for both director(s) and shareholder(s)
- Passbook copy for both director(s) and shareholder(s)
- Opening document certified by CPA
- Business proof, e.g. business plan of the company
Processing Time:
Depending on the completeness of submitted documents and information, the normal trun around time will be 1 day (e.g. HSBC). For some banks, it may takes around 10 days to complete checking.
